Creating My Way Back

I feel as though I am always doing something. I know I am always doing something. However, I do not always show up to talk about it and quite often I forget to take blog-worthy photographs of my process and progress.

I've meandered around my studio and I've made Dream journals for Muse In the Valley. I purged and reorganized the studio, the bathroom and the master bedroom. There are more rooms to purge and clean and reorganize. School is back in session now and it takes me a while to figure out what to do with myself now that I have time. I've been browsing around and trying different website servers, services, hostings? Still not sure what I want to do. None are perfect. There are things I like about Blogger, Weebly and WordPress. There are things about each of them I don't like. Then there's SquareSpace. Hmm.

While I try to decide...

I made magnets. They are now available in the shop (and if you like my Facebook Page you'll find a special coupon code for Labor Day)!!

I created a bundle of what I call, Be Magnets. Each one is approximately one-and-a-half inches square and features some of the photographs I've posted on Instagram sharing my world, creative play dates and view.

In addition, I'm creating magnets a little larger in size, approximately two-inches square. Again, these magnets feature several Instagram photos.

How do I make them? I've been asked this a few times.

Once I've formatted my photos and added text, I print them on premium, glossy photo paper. I then cut and place the photograph between two pieces of Inkssentials Memory Glass from Ranger Ink and dip all the edges into a melting, hot pot of Ultra Thick Embossing Enamel (UTEE) two times.

Yeah, I'm a double-dipper. :) I happened to have a bronze colored enamel, so that's what I chose to use. After the enamel has cooled and hardened, the last step is to glue a magnet on the back and Viola! A gorgeous. uplifting magnet!

Please take a moment to give them a looksie and share your thoughts, ideas and suggestions.
